Insurance & Registration

If you were cited for Expired Registration or No Registration in possession, but have your registration or have obtained registration, please show your valid registration card to the court either at the window or through the mail. Receipts are not proof of registration. If the registration is determined to be valid the charge will be dismissed. Unless the citation is dismissed by the District Attorney there is a $40.00 convenience fee to have this charge dismissed at the Court counter or through the mail.

If you were charged with Suspended or Revoked registration/driver’s license your appearance is mandatory or you may pay the fine. The fine is on your citation.

If you were cited for no insurance in possession but had valid insurance you may submit your insurance to the court with a $40.00 convenience fee and that charge will be dismissed if valid. To avoid a convenience fee, you may appear any Monday morning up until and including the court date on your citation to show your proof to the District Attorney’s office. If you obtain insurance after the violation date the fine will be reduced from $740.00 to $198.00. Unless the citation is amended by the District Attorney’s Office there is a $40.00 convenience fee to have this charge reduced at the Court counter or through the mail. If you do not have insurance and will not be obtaining insurance the fine is $740.00.
